The De-tuner Prefab Module makes tuning an Oscillator to a standard pitch really easy. The controls are self descriptive. If your pitch CV from the keyboard is middle C, then the Octave dropdown lets you transpose the pitch down by two octaves, and up by three octaves in steps of one octave. Likewise the Note dropdown allows you to raise the pitch by up to 11 semitones, in one semitone steps. Fine is just that you can fine tune by 0 to 1 semitone. Shown below is the internal structure of the De-tuner, along with the values for the semitones- aka tune (Octaves are in 1 volt steps, as it is 1volt/octave after all). You can alter these if you want… Just be sure to do that in a copy of the Prefab though, not the original.

How the De-Tuner works.

All the module does is just select the required fixed value outputs along with the value from the fine tune control and feed it from the output of the Dropdown List to the IO Module, where they are combined to give the correct voltage to feed to the VCO.

These are the voltages in the Fixed Values that give us the semitone steps.

A de-tuner usability tweak.

We can make this a Prefab Module a little more “musician friendly” however, with a little editing of the Fixed Values module:
If we edit the names of the Output plugs of the fixed values module connected to the “Tune” dropdown list as shown below then the list will show C, C#, D, Eb instead of 1, 2, 3, 4… Then when you click on the dropdown list it looks like this:
